I'm fundraising for childhood cancer
I have set myself a personal challenge for 2024 and am taking part in Run2Cure Neuroblastoma HALF MARATHON. Run2Cure is a charity fun run and raises funds for the aggressive childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
What's better than combining a personal goal with a good deed? 😁
What is Neuroblastoma?
Neuroblastoma is a cancer affecting young children with the average age being just 2 years of age and survival rates for neuroblastoma being just 1 in 2.
Why would I like to run a half marathon?
I almost ran a half marathon last year in Central Park (but then again just "almost" because 2 rounds in Central Park are 20km and not 21.1km 😅). Since this is still nagging at me I am super determined to add this 1.1km that was missing last year. So yes, I am beyond motivated for this one.
In addition to my personal goal, I want to make a difference to the young children affected. If you are able to make a donation of any amount (every $ counts), the kids, their families and I would be very happy :)
