Be fit and ready to take on Run2Cure!

Not sure where to start with your Run2Cure training? Our Athletics Australia accredited event coach has developed training programs for the 5k, 10k and 21.1k event distances, for most ability levels.

Meet our Coach

Jody - Accredited Level 2 Adv Recreational Running Coach, Athletics Australia

Her running journey started in her youth running cross country and track, ran her first 10k road race at age 13 and first marathon in the late 90s. Although slowing down a bit these days, Jody continues to enjoy hitting the road (or trail). 🏃‍♀️

After years of training and racing across distances and terrains, Jody has been coaching runners both in-person and online since 2015 and acting as the Run2Cure event coach since 2019. She is an appointed coach for Running Mums Australia and has also coached runners for 312Crew, North Shore Running & Outdoor Fitness, Willoughby Outdoor Fitness and TRT Running.

Training Programs

Trainng programs for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level runners are available for our 5k and 10k event distances; Intermediate and Advanced level for the half marathon. With the exception of the 5k Beginner Program, they are all 10 weeks in duration.

Our 5k Beginner Run-Walk Training Program is designed for those who have not run 5k before (or is returning to running after an extended time off). This program is 12 weeks in duration, including 3 run-walks per week, ending with your 5k at Run2Cure!
