Course map

Take in the scenic route around Albert Park Lake for our 5k and 10k events. One loop of the lake is 5km and this is repeated for the 10k. The start point for events is Palms Lawn within Albert Park.

The 3k and 1k events will both be out and back courses along the water. 1500m out and loop back for the 3k course and 500m out and return for the 1k course.

All courses are near water, please ensure children under 12 are supervised at all times.

Our 10k, 5k and 3k distances are timed runs. The 1k Little Heroes Walk is not timed.

Bib postage & collection

During registration you will have the option to either collect your event bib(s) for free during one of the below times. Or, you can have your bib posted to you ($8 per bib). All posted bibs will be mailed out approximately two weeks prior to event day.

Activities on the day

Family friendly activities are available throughout the morning, so you can make it a fun morning out. Kids can enjoy a variety of garden games, glitterpainting, roving costumed characters and live music by The Regnans. Don't forget to head over to center stage at the below times for the following entertainment:

🎫 Certain activities will require the purchase of coupons ($2 per coupon), available to buy at the Neuroblastoma Australia Stall within the event village.

Schedule of Events

The 5km loop is a flat, granitic path that runs alongside the foreshore of the lake with city views. Our 10k is comprised of 2 laps. The 3km and 1km courses are out and backs along the path.

Please make your way to the stage area approximately 20 minutes prior to your event start time for a warm-up session provided by FitLab!
(1k Little Heroes Walkers and 3k participants share a warm-up prior to the 3k.)

Competitions & Prizes

All participants across distances will receive a medal for completing Run2Cure. You will then have the option to stay and have your medal engraved on-site by Ad Laser for $15 ($4 from each medal will go back to our charity). Turn your medal into a beautiful symbol for who you are running for or with your time.

Getting to the event 🚘

Please allow extra time for travel

Sunday 10th November is a busy day around Albert Park with multiple events in the area. Consider taking public transportation or allow extra time to park and arrive to your event on time.

Where is the Run2Cure race start location?

🚩The start point for events is Palms Lawn within Albert Park (find Palms Lawn on Google Maps here.)

Location is near 36 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park South Melbourne Rowing Club and near the Melbourne Sports Centre Lakeside Arena.

Public Transportation

Catching the tram is a great way to get to Albert Park. Trams that travel along St Kilda Road all stop within easy walking distance of the park and the #12, #96, and #16 trams run past the park from the Melbourne CBD to St Kilda.

Car Parking

Limited paid parking is available for park users in Albert Park. Parking fees apply to all carparks and kerbside parking spaces within Albert Park.

The largest paid car park in the area is at the southern end of MSAC in the Stadiums Carpark, accessed from Aughtie Drive. Click here for more detailed information regarding parking.
