I'm fundraising for my cousin who passed away at the age of 3.
I I’m Running for Kara
In 1993, my family’s world changed when we found out that my 18-month-old cousin, Kara, had neuroblastoma. She fought bravely through chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and endless hospital visits, but after 18 months, we lost her. She was just three years old.
That was 30 years ago. And today, the survival rate for aggressive neuroblastoma is still only 50%. That’s a crazy stat that I hope we can change in my lifetime.
Now that I have kids of my own, I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like for any parent to hear that diagnosis. No child, no family, should have to go through what Kara did.
Kara lived you and your family. I can remember you all having fun. Thank you for your support, it means a lot
